Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.

[Hopeless]

I have done clean up, scan disk.  I realize that I need sp2 with wmp10, but I am not allowed to download those programs. 

I am stuck in my sp3 and wmp11 and IE8.  I have reformatted, I have reloaded firmware, rebooted on my creative zen 4gig and it is not doing anything but staying in the recovery mode. 


I have all the software downloaded for creative, Ive tried uninstalling all my creative software, wmp11, and sp3 and then reinstalling all the required programs but my 'updater' wont allow it.  I have tried removing my updater from my control panel as well.


I been going in circles for days and days now.. literally!

are you saying your zen is staying in the recovery mode? after formatting, rebooting and cleaning it up, it is still in the recovery mode?

then the problem is in the zen itself, not your PC..

yes its stuck in recovery mode, sorry forgot to mention.  Guess Ill just have to send it in... oh well still under warranty! Thanks lots!

please someone knows how can i reformat my creative zen micro 8GB every time i try to format it on my pc the song list was still there.
I try also to format it by holding reset, play button and power switch simultaneously. but it's still doesn't work. I discover that there is this one song title that when every time i play it or delete it my zen will hung up. i think thats the virus. please e-mail me at randydumol@yahoo.com if you have the solution for my problem. ok here's what you do:
Detach your player from your PC, ensure that the player is turned off, and remove the battery.

Move and hold the Power button to the Power On position and re-insert the battery to the ZEN Micro. Hold the Power button until the rescue mode appears.

Format (All) Caution! Erases all content!

Save a copy of your player's content before formatting.
 
Reload OS/ Firmware Caution! Erases your player's firmware.

DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install.
 
Reboot  Reboots the device.

To format the device, select option 2: Format All.

Through use of my Zenchecker,
 I saw mentioned using two files.
If nothing else helps to get PC recognise
Creative Zen V Plus player.

The two files....

Myzenus b and fixup file....

I installed and rebooted my PC while Creative V Zen Plus player connected.

And yes, it was finally recognised by my PC.
Also meant I could use and update the Creative software.

Yes, if nothing works just try these two files...  Thanks
