Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

Someone help me.....I recentley purchased a new laptop(dell 1720).  However I just found out that my laptop has windows vista, and my creative zen v plus doesn't work with it.  When I plug it into the usb port on the side(yes I tried all the ports) it makes that sound, but my computer doesn't recognize it.  I ran zen checker, and it seems to be geared for windows xp.  Also, my computer wont allow me to uninstall wmp 11, and when I go to device manager to update drivers, it states they are already installed.  In my device manager it doesn't show up as creative zen, only at mtp somthing.  Please help, I just want to plug it in and go.

Through use of my Zenchecker,
I saw mentioned using two files.
If nothing else helps to get PC recognise
Creative Zen V Plus player.

The two files....

Myzenus b and fixup file....

I installed and rebooted my PC while Creative V Zen Plus player connected.

And yes, it was finally recognised by my PC.
Also meant I could use and update the Creative software.

Yes, if nothing works just try these two files... Smiley Thanks  Smiley

Help, I've read about the Zenchecker tool download, I've registered, I've logged into the members area, but I can't see a download button or link, merely links to discussion chais that say how brilliant it is.  I've had my Zen Vision:M for over a week and I still can't get it to work with my PC! With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
