Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

Ehm... since the same topic is like... everywhere on this forum, I thought there were enough of them and decided to reply here.
So this is the problem: old laptop and pc can't find the software for my Zen anymore. They used to work fine! I've tried my Zen Vision M (60gb) to connect with another, newer, laptop (with WMP 11), and it worked, without installing anything!
So this is what I've already done:
Used the zenchecker, and I got good on all points

When I connect the Zen to the laptop, a window pops up saying I need to place the cd with software to run the hardware. Which is kinda strange, I never had this message before. Anyway, in the past, I copied the cd on my extern hdd, knowing myself and losing stuff... so then I tried to use that folder I created... to no avail. Later I burned it to a new cd, yet still no reaction.

Since it does work on other laptops (without Zen vision installed), I suspect I need to (un)install something else, problem is... what?

I'm having similar problems to those reported here.
My PC has recently stopped recognising my Zen Vision M. I have uninstalled WMP 11 and I now get the 'pop' when I connect, but still doesn't show as Connected.
I don't know whether it is related, but my Zen has also started going through the 'Rebuilding' process every time I turn it on.
Hopefully your ZenChecker will find the problem.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
