As the title says, my mother reciently gave me her Zen Microphoto that she bought and never used.  I don't have the CD or anything.  The Zen is stuck in recovery mode.  I see there are a few band-aid "fixes" for Vista, but it seems that all the fixes want you to use an XP machine (which I don't own or have access to).  So, what do I do?

yup, updating firmware via win xp is an important part of the solution. if you cant do it then how about trying this out? http://www.mycreativefansite.com/2007/06/solution-windows-vista-cannot-recognise.html
