Hi there, I have been struggling for hours and hours trying to get the the MP3 player to be recognised by the pc.  I've trolled through a lot of the items here, but I'm still stuck.  I have a desktop pc running XP SP3 and also Vista laptop.  Plug in the zen vision via all the USB ports, but nothing happens.  It is not listed at all in Device manager, and media player 11 and Zen Vision media explorer.  I ran myzenchecker on the desktop and it reports that I dont have SP2, which is correct, but does SP3 not have everything that SP2 has...

Please help, I'm pulling my hair out with this..

Hey Paul,
Umm.. well.. I dont know much cause i dont know the details.. however i said the same to another member who had the same problem. Here was what i said:
here are the options you can try :

1. Look in My Computer for your Zen if it's there.. it should be.
2. Try in a different computer around you.. there are many cases where your pc might be faulty.
3. Is your Zen Vision M showing that its synced up ?

Thanks for your reply, Its not listed in mycomputer either, this is the same on both my desktop, and the vista laptop.  Plug in the USB to any ports, and the PC does nothing.  When I ask it to search for new hardware the PC reports back that there is no new hardware detected.  Are we missing some drivers for the player maybe ?  I have installed all the installation cd. 

Not sure how I would check if its synced up.. I got this player from a friend, and it has music on it already, I just want to be able to add my own music to the list.

Well on your ZVM it will have that sign that its plugged in and up for syncing..
Does that come ?
does anything come on the screen when you turn it on or plugg it in ?

how about wmp10? does myzenchecker says that you have wmp10?
