Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

I have had a ZEN Mozaic for around two years now, but recently my computer stopped recognizing it. A message saying "USB-device was not recognized" comes up, and then nothing. I can charge the player, but i can't see it in "Computer" or Creative Centrale. If i enter the Device manager, and check under USB-controllers it says "unknown device".
I have tried updating drivers and downloading the latest software from creative.com. I have also looked around and tried a lot of different suggestions on how to solve the problem, but nothing have worked.
I have also tried using myzenchecker, but when i do that it says
"FAILED: You do not have the preffered operating System Requirement!"

and then when i continue it says

myZenChecker

Result:
INFO: You are using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
INFO: Your Operating System is Windows Vista. Please refer to Fix4 below.
BAD: You do not have Service Pack 2 installed. Please refer to Fix1 to get it installed
GOOD: You have an Intel Processor
GOOD: You have a Windows Platform
BAD: You do not have Windows Media Player Version 10. Refer to Fix6 below.

I have tried using Fix4 a couple of times but it doesn't work. I have also tried getting Windows Media Player 10, but i can't install it, because i use Vista.

Finally i tried connecting my player to my mother's computer and then my father's computer but it's the same thing. The both have Vista aswell.

So do anyone know what else i can try?

Oh and the player is fully charges and working. I can hear music, radio etc. but just can't see it on my computer. Last night (it's morning in Denmark) i tried formatting it, but that didn't work either.

most probably there's some updates in your windows which cause it not to be recognize
try to reset it and then select cleanup
can it work?

do you have a win xp machine to try it on?

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
