Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

earlier today i was listening to my zen all day for at least 4 hours i turned it off at 3:00 and half an hour later it did not turn on. i decided all i needed to do was plug it in to a usb port to fix this problem so i used i friends PS3 usb port and it displayed a "scanning disk" message. i have never seen it do this before so i took it home and plugged it into my laptop only for the message to again display. after leaving it plugged in for 2 hours the message was flashing on and off and now my laptop (WINDOWS 7) will not recognize it is plugged in but makes the nose to say a usb device has been detected. the recovery software i downloaded from creative does not recognise the player ether and i have tryed the recovery mode on the player i am now at a loss of what to do and need help Huh  Angry

Put a paperclip in the reset hole on the rear.

Now switch it on and the minute you see the creative logo press and hold the upper left button, this should get you into the recovery menu from here you can do a cleanup.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
