Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

Have same problem. XP SP 2. Charges and is fully OK on another PC, but seems like Windows installed own driver on USB before Creative SW on my PC. Have tried to uninstall and reinstall two times - no success. Then updated SW. Then soft reset several times. Then hard reset several times. Then charge battery full. Then update firmware. Still same problem: no connection / detection with Creative SW. After some time connected, Windows detects Zen Stone, and starts to autorun files, but no possibility to explore, format or do anything. Man I hate this shit!  Angry Angry

And BTW: when I plug the Zen to my PC, the Creative SW wont start, hangs until I deconnect the player. Or after a while it even freezes the device manager in Windows...
This is not what I call quality!

I am sorry, but this doesnt work either. I can see the drive (for instance F:\), but not format, not read, no nothing. The windows explorer hangs, and I have to deconnect the cable, and then the Stone disappears again (of course).

Oh yeah...you're the one that stole it from some kid right >_>;.

The only reason the threads pretty much alive is because it gets "hijacked" so to speak...and they just post it in here instead of creating their own topics.

And..i guess for it not connecting...try installing it without any USB devices plugged in.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
