Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

I've had my zen for a lil over a year now, everything was fine until last week, when I plug USB into docking station, instead of entering sync mode, the windows pops the warning says something like, the USB you attached is malfunction, windows does not recognize it.  But when I plug the my zen to another computer, everything is fine. I reinstalled the driver and all the creative program,  I also tried the trick where you uninstall all the USB drivers from device manager, but it still won't work.  Can anybody help me with this? Embarrassed

Hi jimmy, thanks for your reply.  I did try your zenchecker, instead of finding creative zen vision m, it found something called BTG(or something like that), then when I hit search for its drive, it seemed like it copied a couple files from folder to folder.  Then as soon as I click the option(manage your player with explore), my player freezed.  Tried that a couple times, same result everytime.  IF I unplug my mp3 and reset it, when I plug it back in, the same old USB malfunction msg shows up. Sad

The MTP player only showed up once that is right after I ran myzenchecker, then after it freezes my mp3 and I unplugged it from USB to reset, it just never showed back up again, when I plug it back in, same old USB malfunction msg appears.  And in the hardware device window, there isn't any The MTP player at all Sad

I didn't get all Good results here it is:
WARNING: You are not using Microsoft Internet Explorer, myZenChecker may not work well.
BAD: You do not have Windows XP Operating System. It is required
BAD: You do not have Service Pack 2 installed. Please refer to Fix1 to get it installed
WARNING: You do not have an Intel Processor
GOOD: You have a Windows Platform Fix1: If you are detected that there is no Service Pack 2 installed. Click here to install SP2.
But i'm 100% sure I am using SP2 tho.

Hi Bobbo
try to start a new topic regarding your prob. anyway, you shd uninstall wmp11 using the wmp11 killer. search for it in the forum. also try to use myzenchecker to ensure that you have the preferred OS for your PC.

Hi Kevin
seems like your xp version has some prob, what verison is it? home? professional?
myzenchecker has a stricter check on sp2. try re-installing sp2, it helps.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
