Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

Hi there

I've had my vision m 30gb for 2.5years, never had a problem. yesterday i plugged the zen into my computer (with at least half battery) like usual but nothing happened - no lights/no recognition/no anything.
i disconnected it, did all the usual thins - when pushing the on button i can see there is a blue light that flashes 5 times and then goes off, nothig else happens
i charged it with the wall plug - nothing
i reset it: nothing

I'm stumped: any ideas?... i installed xp service pack 3 yesterday and this was the first time i used my zen after - do you think tht caused it?

when i plug it into the computer now - the blue light on top flashes, but nothing else happens. oh, also, i've checked thorugh all the device management options

Thanks!

is it due to sp3, its the only updates you have done? actually, we prefer sp2. trying uninstall sp3 and see if your problem is resolved?

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
