I have tried the Zen checker all come back good, I have also installed fixup and my Zen usb but I am still having the same problem device lists in device manager as it should all ok & saysdocked. But the media Explorer says device not connected when it is it has a fully charged battery and I have tried the cleanup in recovery mode. Is this a dud unit or am I missing somthing.
PS This is a brand new fresh Windows XP SP2 install with WMP10
Thank you for any help prodvided.

so your zen vision is fully charged? looks like your zen can dock, try to use windows explorer to access your zen, you can drag and drop songs into your zen vision m using windows explorer too

No, because it does not list in Windows Explorer is it a dud unit? Even the Creative firmware updater says player is not connected.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.
Thanks for the input and Great site!

My problem is back like my as my first post reads!!!! Device lists device manager with the correct driver my zen checker results all good, windows xp wmp10, fully charged player. Have tried deleting rebooting whilst device is connected to the machine and done the clean so many times I have lost count but media explorer still says device is not connected and does not list in windows explorer & wmp10 says no device is connected.
Any ideas?

Have "cleaned" so many times I have lost count can't really format as the persons music is back in Oz to would have nothing to restore back as they do not have a backup in the UK I have a a zif to USB connector what format is the data on the HDD stored in maybe I can mount it in linux/windows this way then copy the data off then I will be able to do a format and stick the music back on
