Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.

Hello

I have spent a very frustrating afternoon trying to get my Zen MX to talk to Creative Centrale. WMPlayer 11 recognises it and syncs fine; windows file explorer recognises it and I can copy files there. But Creative Centrale persists in saying that there is no device connected. I have tried the fixes in the myzen diagostic thing and have reinstalled creative Centrale. I have also removed the USB Zen entries from the system->hardware panel in control panel and rebooted with the player attached. There is no entry for a Windows Portable Player showing up.

What am I missing? Help!
Thanks
Jane

In all honesty i would not even worry about it and i would just uninstall centrale. If you can transfer it with WMP11 and explorer you're good to go.

Many thanks for the replies. Yes I can use Media Player and will use that in preference to the clunky Creative software anyhow, but how do I then get videos on there if Creative Centrale is not working? I understand I need that to change the mp4 format to one the player can read?

I think it's pique as well that I can't get something computery to work...I dont' like to let it beat me ;-)

Thanks

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
