Also, I wanted to thank you for this site. I was one of those people who couldn't get their Windows to recognize the Zen, so i trouble shot and was completely satisfied. Thanks again.

Ah, Finally fixed it ran clean up several times rebooting each time now lists in the creative software WMP10. All I can think of is maybe the drive became so fragmented.

my laptop can not find the driver need for my mp3 player. I am running vista with media player 11. I deleted the entry from my device driver trying to get it to reinstall but it still says it cant find it. I tried reinstalling media player but it says I have the current version and wont let me. I tried the installation cd that came with it but my computer cant find the driver on it. I even tried the driver cd that came with my laptop still nothing. I cant find the driver on Microsoft or the Creative websites. Someone please help me I've been searching for over a month. I am about to have a stroke.

gah, vista says that the Zen 4gb mp3 player cannot start
is there any way to brute force it? [or should it be replaced?]

try updating the latest firmware but you have to use a win xp PC to upgrade it
